On August 17, the final of 2010 Microsoft Student Challenge was held in Microsoft Sigma Building, Beijing. The theme of this contest was "passing on Chinese culture to the next generation and sharing the national treasure with the world". More than 400 teams from over 30 key universities took part in the contest and 15 teams, 4 of which were from SCUT, entered final after two rounds.
Altogether there is 1 team for the first prize, 2 teams for the second prize, and 3 teams for the third prize. The teams from SCUT stand out in the final: Karyocyte ranks top (the first prize); Virtual and PB rank fourth and fifth respectively (the third prize); Jingroup gets merit award; the SCUT Microsoft Club wins the prize of Best Organization.
