SCUT won 25 Guangdong higher education teaching achievement prizes

The Guangdong education department has recently released the sixth list of project awards of Guangdong higher education teaching achievement prize. South China University of Technology (SCUT) had 25 projects in the list, among which 21 were directed by SCUT while the other 4 involved participation of SCUT.

Among the 25 projects, 11 were awarded the first prize, including the project Create new faculty management mechanism; improve the quality of talent training directed by WANG Yingjun; 10 were awarded the second prize, including the project Research and practice of the teaching system consisting of 4-unit engineering training directed by Prof.

HU Qingchun; all the 4 projects involving the participation of SCUT were awarded the first prize.

It is learned that a total of 512 teaching achievements, recommended by 78 colleges and universities, competed for the award. After the process of publication, qualification examination, online evaluation, meeting-based evaluation and the evaluation of relevant leading group, 240 teaching achievements won the award, 110 first prize and 130 second prize.

Guangdong higher education teaching achievement awards, conferred every four years, is meant for those individuals or teams who make notable contributions to the development of higher education in Guangdong.
