Visiting innovative research lab

On Dec. 28, School of Computer Science and Engineering of SCUT and TCL Communication Technology Holding Limited jointly set up SCUT-TCL Student Innovation Club. Both sides reached a cooperation agreement on co-construction of student innovative association and innovative research lab, which would play an important role in improving innovation ability of college students.

On the ceremony, vice-president of TCL, XIAO Feng and personnel from SCUT Teaching Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office and School of Computer Science and Engineering witnessed the establishment of the club. They also granted nameboard for the club and issued the certifications to the club members.

After the ceremony, the guests paid a visit to the TCL student innovation lab in C12 Building of students' dormitory, South Campus. Then the guests and SCUT personnel held a discussion on the future construction and development of the lab; both sides hoped that the lab would operate as a genuine incubator base for SCUT outstanding entrepreneurial teams by providing SCUT students with a technology R&D platform of strong operability and broad applicability.


It is learned that TCL Communication Technology Holding Limited also set up scholarships for outstanding students in the field of Algorithm Analyze and Design. In addition, TCL will successively assign excellent engineers to cooperate with School of Computer Science and Engineering, promoting in-depth cooperation between the two sides.
