A Delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Social Science Visiting Jinan University

On the afternoon of April 9, 2008, a delegation which is composed of twelve scholars from Vietnam Academy of Social Science paid a visit to Jinan University, and had a discussion with professors and researchers of Institute of Overseas Chinese Studies, Department of History, Institute of Southeast Studies.

Dr. Longqi Chao, Director of Institute of Overseas Chinese Studies hosted the introduction presentation. Ms. Huifen Yu, Director of International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office gave a warmly welcome address to the delegation. Dr. Tran Duc Cuong, Vice Chairman of Scientific Council of Vietnam Academy of Social Science gave an introduction on the organizational composition, number of staff, research achievement and library of the Academy.

Professor Weinong Gao gave a brief presentation of Overseas Chinese Studies, Southeast Studies, and China-Foreign Relation Studies in Jinan University. Both parties looked forward to future cooperation on scholar visit, graduate student exchange, holding symposium, and scientific program research.
