Vice President Jia Yimin headed a delegation to visit Sister Universities in South Africa and Egypt from October 21st to 30th, 2008. Mr. Guo Xi, Dean of College of Chinese Language and Culture, Mr. Ma Yue, Deputy Director of Chinese Language Promotion Centre, Ms. Yu Huifen, and Director of International Affairs Office accompanied the visit.
During 22nd to 24th, the delegation attended the unveiling Ceremony of Confucius Institute jointly established by Jinan University and Rhodes University and the first Council in Rhodes. Moreover, the delegation paid a visit to Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa, Cairo University and Minia University in Egypt.
