Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich of University of Wisoncin Eau Claire Visiting Jinan University

On October 15^th, Dr. Brian Levin-Stankevich, Chancellor of University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire paid a visit to Jinan.

President Hu Jun warmly welcomed the chancellor. President Hu thanked the chancellor for attending the centennial celebration of Jinan two years ago, and introduced to the guest the latest development of the university. Chancellor Stankevich thanked President Hu for the warm reception, and introduced the progress of UWEC s internationalization. The two sides also reviewed the cooperation between the two universities and exchanged views on its future development.

After the meeting, the chancellor visited the main teaching building and the university library and gave high regard to the facilities of JNU.

Vice President Lin Rupeng, Ms. Yu Huifeng, Director of International Affairs Office, Mr. Li Lijia, Deputy Director of the IAO, Prof. Zeng Yiping, Deputy Dean of College of Chinese Language and Culture, Ms. Liu Yiheng, Chair of Music Department of College of Arts, Ms. Zhao Changying, Head of International Affairs Office of Clinical Medicine College, and Ms. Chen Weiju, Head of Nursing Department attended the meeting.

The history of exchange between Jinan and UWEC could be traced back to 20 years ago. Up to now, Jinan has sent 65 faculty and students to UWEC as exchange teachers and students. At the same time, UWEC has sent over 50 professors and 6 exchange students to deliver lectures and study at Jinan. These activities promoted the internationalization of both parties.
