Training Course for JNU-Kowloon Federation of Associations Staff Opening

On the afternoon of November 16th, the opening ceremony of Kowloon Federation of Associations, Hong Kong staff training was held at Management School of Jinan University. Ko Po-Ling, Chairmen of Kowloon Federation of Associations, Fang Xiangdong, Deputy Director of Personnel Department, Kowloon Section, Liaison Office of the Central People s Government in the Hong Kong S.A., Jia Yimin, Vice President of Jinan University, Yu Huifen, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and Hu Yuming, Vice Dean of Management School were presented at the ceremony.

Vice President Jia Yimin gave a warm welcome to all Hong Kong compatriots who come for training and spoke highly of Kowloon Federation of Associations patriotism, as well as its outstanding contribution to promoting the prosperous development of Hong Kong. He thanked the Central Government for authorizing JNU to undertake the training.

He then introduced the history and current situation of Jinan to the participants, and emphasized JNU s operation principle of to be geared to the demands from the overseas, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan . He hoped that the trainees can be further concerned about the future development of JNU, and come back to visit or study if possible.

He welcomed more excellent young students can be recommended by the participants, so that the University would train more professionals for Hong Kong.

Chairman Ko Po-Ling extended her sincere thanks to leaders of JNU and staff of Liaison Office of the Central People s Government. She indicated that the success of this training owe to the concerted efforts and hard work of all the support staff. Chairmen Ko wished that trainees working skills and the ability of handling interpersonal relationship could be improved, and through the training, the participants would have a better understanding about emergency management, public relations and publicity, and national education.
At last, Chairman Ko gave a memorial flag to JNU as a present.
