On the morning of November 19, the opening ceremony of the seventh Advanced Workshop of China's Economy for New Generation Ethnic Chinese Entrepreneurs sponsored by the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and China Overseas Exchange Association, and undertaken by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong and Jinan University was held at JNU.
Ren Qiliang, Deputy Director of the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Zhang Jianqing, Deputy Director of Department of Economy and Science, Wu Ruicheng, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs of Guangdong, Chen Yanghao, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, and Hu Jun, President of Jinan University attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was presided over by Li Congdong, Dean of Management School of Jinan University.
On behalf of State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and its Director Li Haifeng, Deputy Director Ren Qiliang expressed warm welcome and sincere greeting to the over 40 new generation ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs from 13 countries and thanks the International Affairs Office of Guangdong and Jinan University for their great support.
He indicated that the advanced workshop of China's economy for new generation ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs had been successfully held for 6 cohorts, providing the ethnic Chinese enterprisers with a platform of friendship, cooperation, studies, and communication, making active impact at home and abroad.
He hoped that all participants would get more comprehensive and profound understanding of China's current economic development and investment policies through study, seize the investment opportunities to develop future career and lay a good foundation of cooperation and exchange in China.
Director Wu Ruicheng said that this workshop had the largest number of participants ever since, indicating the impact of the training course is growing among young entrepreneurs both at home and abroad. More and more young ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs hope to join the seminar. The overseas affairs department wishes to provide a more effective platform to help ethnic Chinese youth to catch the express train of development of China s economy and seek more development opportunities.
Most participants of this cohort are well-known leaders of overseas Chinese community and descendants of Chinese merchants. They have economic strength and willingness to carry out economic and trade cooperation with China. They are well educated in Europe, America or countries of residence, have rich experience in operation management. Some of them are very active in the overseas Chinese community and local activities. They are also well educated, some of them holding doctoral degree already. Being young and possessing high academic qualification are always distinctive features of the participants of advanced workshop of China's economy for new generation ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs.
