President of the Hospital Signed the Tobacco Control Responsibility pledge with Respective Departments of the Hospital
Apr.9th, the Cancer Hospital s "Building smoke free hospital" project was launched. Tang Jie, Secretary of Provincial Tobacco Control Association, Huang Xiaojun, Secretary-General of Provincial Health Department, and Liao Zhener, Secretary of Party Community of Cancer Hospital and all the doctors were present at the ceremony. On behalf of Academician Zeng Yixin (who is unable to attend the ceremony as he is on business trip) , Xu Ruihua, Vice-president of the hospital, signed the Tobacco Control Responsibility Letters with various departments of the hospital.
As is stated in The Tobacco Control Responsibility pledge, the director of each department will be responsible for tobacco controlling, the divisional officer will be in charge of tobacco controlling in the divisions, the district nurse will be the supervisor of tobacco controlling who is responsible for supervising and persuading the smokers belonging to the same work region.
As one of the units nationwide to launch the "smoke-free hospital" project, the cancer hospital has carried out the smoke free hospital project since the beginning of the year. The leaders of the hospital attach great importance to the tobacco controlling team led by president Zeng Yixin and secretary Liao Zhener. Secretary Liao Zhener said that there are two reasons for launching control tobacco in the hospital, one of which is to create hygiene, civilized, comfortable medical amenity which is favorable to the health of doctors and patients and the other reason is that professional image plays an important role in tobacco controlling. He believes that the launching of smoke- free hospital will have positive effect on the national tobacco control.
