Our University Achieves Brilliant Success in the 9th Hunan College Sports Meeting

Our university achieved brilliant success in many sports events in the 9^th Hunan College Sports Meeting, including martial arts, table tennis and badminton, etc.

The closing ceremony of the Martial Arts Match was held in the gymnasium of the Physical Education College of Hunan Normal University on November 11th. After a three-day fierce competition, our team won the first prize in college team event, the second prize in men s team total score, the fourth prize in women s team total score and the third prize in mixed team total score.

Li Minghui, secretary of the party committee of Physical Education College of Hunan Normal University, Li Yixiang, vice president of Physical Education of Hunan University of Science and Technology, Chang Exiang, vice dean of Hunan Engineering Polytechnic and other leaders attended the closing ceremony. Zhang Jisheng, the chief referee, granted the awards to the prize-winners.

The table tennis team and badminton team from our university also achieved success with flying colors two days after the Martial Arts Match. The competition for table tennis and badminton lasted for four days including sports programs such as men s team, women s team, men s singles, women s singles, men s doubles, women s doubles and mixed doubles.

On November 13^th, our table tennis team won the first prize in the mixed team total score, that s six gold medals, 2 silver medals and two bronze medals. On the same day, our badminton team also gave an extraordinary performance, winning four golds, four silvers and two bronzes.
