2010 International Contest of Innovation on Internet of Things & China MEMSIC Cup Sensor Application Contest Final briefed as MEMSIC Cup closed in the International Expo Center of Taihu, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province on Oct. 30, 2010. Four projects from HUST have won Special Award, First Prize, Second Prize and Excellence Prize respectively.
Three of the four awarded projects from HUST are from the Mechanical Innovation Base of School of Mechanical Science and Technology, named as, An Accelerometer-Based Automatic Relics-protection Device, Intelligent Fitness System, A Wireless Burglary-Resisting System for Bicycle. Project Virtual Fitness System came from the Electrical and Electricity Innovation Base. What s more, project An Accelerometer-Based Automatic Relics-protection Device, the Special Award winner, has been chosen, together with other four winners in China, to compete in ICAN 11 International Championship to be held in 2011, Beijing.
Co-sponsored by Chinese Academic Supervision Commission for Science and Technology of MOE Computer Science/Mechancs/Electronics , Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology, Chinese International NEMS Society CINS ,the MEMSIC CUP was an innovation contest open to all students from High School, Undergraduate, Graduated School in China.
It's released that 515 teams from 73 universities competed in 13 section arenas in China and 84 of them got the passports to the Final. Totally 5 projects won Special Awards, 12 First Prize, 20 Second Prize, 30 Third Prize and 17 Excellence Prize.
