Supported by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) International Fund and invited by Prof. Leng Hong the Vice-Dean of School of Architecture, Professor Peter Berten who is one of the most famous architects and professor of Berlin Industry University Visited School of Architecture at HIT and Architectural Design Research Institute (ADRI) of HIT on Oct. 12th Oct.14th, 2010. During the visiting, Prof. Peter Berten delivered a wonderful speech, taught several design classes for the students, and had an impressive dialogue with faculties and students of School of Architecture.
In the afternoon of Oct.12th, Prof. Peter Berten, another German professor Wolf Reuter, and an American professor Nader Tehrani participated in a dialogue chaired by vice dean Prof. Leng Hong, on the topic of Architectural Education with more than 30 professors in School of Architecture.
Oct.13th, Prof. Peter Berten visited the Museum of HIT. The long and fantastic HIT history impressed him a lot. In the evening, Prof. Peter Berten delivered a wonderful speech on Dealing with Exist Buildings to the falsities and students of School of Architecture at Class room 423. Students gained a lot on architectural design ideas and methods from the professional academic lecture.
In the morning of Oct. 14th, Prof. Peter Berten went into classroom to have a close chat with the students to teach them how to make creative and amazing design alive. Students felt very much happy to have such opportunity to learn from the top-rank architectural design master.
On Oct.14th 2010, Prof. Peter Berten visited ADRI of HIT. Accompany by Prof. Chen Jianfei the Vice-Director of ADRI, Prof. Peter Berten got to know the working environment and producing procedure of ADRI. Prof. Peter Berten highly praised working fashion, creative production, and multiple creation of ADRI. Prof. Mei Hongyuan the Chief Director of ADRI met with Prof. Peter Berten to exchange ideas on global joint design development and the architectural practices, and achieved common agreement of future collaboration and cooperation.
