Judy Garland's Arabian ruby slippers, one of five pairs designed by Adrian Greenberg of MGM studios and worn by Garland for test and wardrobe shots in the 1939 film 'The Wizard of Oz, ' are displayed at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, part of an exhibit of ruby shoes created along the gemmed red slippers theme by well-known designers. It's been 70 years since Judy Garland first clicked her ruby slippers in "The Wizard of Oz," yet even the well-heeled celebrities who inhabit the wonderful land of Hollywood still find the shoes a thing of beauty.

Actress Lorraine Bracco gabbed about her love for the classic movie — and a good pair of red heels — on Thursday night at a New York Fashion Week kickoff party held in Saks Fifth Avenue, which unveiled a new collection of Dorothy-inspired designer heels.

"I own several red shoes, so if you want to consider them slippers that's fine, but I have many of Manolo Blahnik red shoes!" the "Sopranos" star said, laughing heartily.

Which "Wizard of Oz" character would Bracco like to portray?

"My first instinct is to say Toto, but since I got bit by a dog this weekend, I'm not gonna say Toto!" she said, pointing at cuts on her finger.

Instead, she said she'd go with Dorothy "because she goes through this unbelievable journey ...only to come full circle around to realize home is good, family is good."

Lindsay Price, who co-stars with Brooke Shields on NBC's "Lipstick Jungle," said she has a soft spot for the Cowardly Lion, but she'd rather fill Dorothy's shoes.

"She gets the full journey, she learns the lessons — she wears the shoes," said Price, wearing platform gold heels and a black Prada dress.

Price said she's also a fan of the gingham pattern on Dorothy's blue-and-white frock — and the scene in which the pig-tailed songbird finally returns home to Kansas.
