It is lychee season again! Chinese lychees are already being picked, the quality is good and volumes are up on last season.
Due to the fact that fresh lychees are very sensitive, they are few companies who export them. Howard Zhuang Zhangzhou of Zhuangyi Agriculture Development Co.,Ltd is one of those few and he has been successfully exporting lychees for three years now.
Zhangzhou Zhuangyi Agriculture Development Co. Ltd. is based in the Chinese province of Fujian. Sales Director Howard says that it is one of the main pomelo and litchi producers in China. The company has a total of 500 employees working at its three locations. The organisation grows, processes, packs, trades and exports fruit and vegetables.
Howardwill be sending his first container of lychees to Europe this week, he expects to send more than 25 containers in total to Rotterdam this season. The company also supplies the domestic market.
