On June 22, Zhang Taolin, Vice Minister of Agriculture met with visitingDr. Alan S. Paau, Vice President of Cornell University. The two sides had a friendly discussion about strengthening agricultural scientific and technological cooperation.
Zhang Taolin pointed out that the two sides should base on the MOU between MOA Department of Science, Technology and Education and Cornell University, establish a regular consultation mechanism, set up a cooperation platform of projects and talents, expand exchanges of technology, products and talents, so as to enhance comprehensive and in-depth cooperation.
Dr. Alan S. Paau said that Cornell University had a long history of cooperation with China, keeping close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and relevant scientific research institutions. He fully agreed with Vice Minister on enhancing bilateral cooperation, expecting joining hands with MOA to contribute to the development of Chinese modern agriculture.
