BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines Corp. signed a cooperation agreement with Xinhua Network Co. Ltd, the portal of Xinhua News Agency, Wednesday.
The two parties signed a strategic cooperation framework on operations in the fields of flight information service, brand promotion, market expansion and boosting their public welfare activities.
Zhou Xisheng, vice president of Xinhua News Agency and chairman of the Xinhua Network Co. Ltd, spoke highly of China Eastern Airlines for their recent help in flying home Chinese evacuees from Libya.
China Eastern Chairman Liu Shaoyong said the cooperation would benefit the development of the airlines.
The Shanghai-based airlines is one of the country's three largest air carriers.
