CHONGQING(CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Management Department of People's Bank of China on March 17 said that fixed deposit is favored by Chongqing citizens.
At the end of this February, the local resident deposit increased by 9.993 billion yuan, of which the current deposit fell by 7.176 billion yuan while the fixed increased by 17.169 billion yuan.
The increase of fixed deposit is mainly influenced by two reasons: firstly, the People's Bank of China raises the benchmark lending rate; secondly, some residents want to earn more deposit interest income, according to Chongqing Management Department of People's Bank of China.
