CHONGQING(CQNEWS) Chongqing banks' cross-border RMB trade settled 1.492 billion yuan at the end of February 2011.
It is reported that 14 local banks have handled the practical RMB collection and payment for 57 enterprises'cross-border trade. Based on the settlement amount, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China are the top three while Standard Chartered is the foreign bank with the largest settlement amount. In this February, in Chongqing the cross-border trade settlement in RMB reached 345 million yuan, including 72 million yuan for cargo export trade and 272 million for import trade.
