CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Responsible persons of three outstanding environmental protection organizations in Chongqing including the Green Young Volunteers Service Team of Chongqing University collected water samples of the upper, middle and lower water levels from the Yangtze River at the center water section at Chaotianmen on March 20, and then sent the samples to Chongqing Hydrology Bureau for test. They are hoping to raise public concern about the mother river among the whole society through this way.
It is reported that the water-sample-collecting activities are also being held in other 10 provinces, cities, and regions including Qinghai, Tibet, Yunnan, Sichuan, etc. The collected samples will be gathered in Chongqing, and part of them will be donated to China Three Gorges Museum for forever collection.
