CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd. launched the 1st rapid charging electrobus with new long-life lithium battery in China on March 18, 2011. The bus can be used for 20,000 times circularly and it only takes 10 minutes to charge it.
The electrobus enjoys a length of 12 m, maximum speed of 80km/h, 45 seats and can hold 80 persons.
At present, there are two buses of this kind are put into use in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Hengtong has received orders from Hangzhou, Tangshan, etc. Meanwhile, Chongqing Bus Group will purchase 20 sets of electrobuses and plans to use it in main urban districts of Chongqing in April.
