CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- For many years, the watercourse of the 16.2-km long Longchuan River in Nanchuan District, Chongqing has been so narrow that the flood peak has been always blocked and damaged crops and houses. Since September 2009, the district has invested over 40 million yuan in improving the whole watercourse to make an ecological gallery with afforested banks.
