CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Finance Bureau released on March 24 that the Central Government had allocated special fund of 455 million yuan for orange planting and pig feeding industries of Chongqing in recent 3 years.
Since 2008, the orange planting and pig feeding industries of Chongqing have respectively received support of 245 million yuan and 210 million yuan from the Central Government.
In 2010, the orange planting area had reached 2.16 million mu, and the total yield was up to 1.6 million tons. Meanwhile, the improved pig rate had increased from 93% to 96%, and the scale feeding rate had risen from 33.2% to 50%. (Translated by Wei Longfeng, Fathom Language Limited)
