Chongqing & Xinjiang to co-run 3 energy projects

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) Chongqing's 3 energy projects of Hami, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will go into construction within 2011, Chongqing Energy Investment Group (CEIG) said on March 30.

CEIG established Xinjiang Lantian Mining Co., Ltd. in Urumchi with total investment of about 4 billion yuan in June 2009 to co-develop the local coal resources with Hami. It is expected to gain an annual output of 10-million-ton raw coal and has detected coal reserve of 1.93155 billion tons.

CEIG Hami Power Plant has been submitted to the National Development and Reform Commission for approval and is expected to go into construction in the second half of 2011.

Besides, CEIG also invests Dananhu Wind Power Project in Hami. With area of about 110 square kilometers and installed design capacity of 700 megawatt, the project is located in the southeast of Hami. (Translated by Tan Hongxia, Fathom Language Limited)
