CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing plans to realize annual energy saving of 4,460,000-ton standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emission of 10.16 million tons, and construct over 2 million m2 of green buildings at the end of the "12th Five-Year Plan".
Chongqing had issued the Energy-saving Building Regulations as the first one in China during the "11th Five-Year Plan", said Chongqing Construction Commission.
Downtown Chongqing and regional core cities of Chongqing will respectively construct over 2 green buildings in 2011, while other districts and counties will respectively construct over 1 green building.
