CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Xiushan, which locates in the southeast of Chongqing, is to become the second mobile phone manufacturing base in Chongqing after Chayuan New City. The first phase project of Xiushan Manufacturing Base of Chongqing Namo Technology was put into production on April 18, with expected annual production capacity of 5 million mobile phones.
Construction of the manufacturing base was launched in June 2010, involving investment of 500 million yuan. Production lines with annual capacity of 5 million mobiles phones were built in the first phase. The second phase will focus on the production lines and mobile phone main-boards manufacturing. Xiushan County has by now introduced 5 projects, and is planning to further introduce several supporting enterprises in an effort to realize mobile phone manufacturing scale of 10 million mobile phones, with expected annual output of 5 billion yuan.
