CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The CPI of Chongqing increases by 5.3% in the first quarter compared with the same period of last year, 0.3 percentage points higher than national average level, according to the data released by Chongqing Survey Office of National Bureau of Statistics on April 18, 2011. Especially, the CPI of March reaches 5.5%, 0.1 percentage points higher than national average level.
The growth of CPI is mainly driven by increasing food and house prices generally, introduced Chongqing Survey Office. However, the CPI will keep stable with the overall regulation of prices in Chongqing. (Translated by Zhong Jie, Fathom Language Limited)
