Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co. Ltd. and Farglory Land Development Group Shanghai will join hands to build a sustainable community to live, work and play in Tianjin s Eco-City.

The two companies will work together on an integrated development covering more than 100 hectares of residential and commercial land, of which more than 70 hectares are located within the Eco-City s 4-sq km Start-Up Area (SUA) and another 30 is outside the SUA.

The main land plots within the SUA will be developed by 2013 and the overall development is expected to be completed by 2015. The total development will cost more than RMB 10 billion and accommodate about 12,000 households when completed.

The entire development will include the conversion of Qing Tuo Zi village - an old fishing village - into an upmarket commercial area as well as a second light rail station within the SUA. The heritage of this old fishing village will also be preserved to maximize its appeal to residents, businessmen as well as tourists.

This development will offer various housing options for new residents and corporations and serve as the Eco-City s leisure centre offering a wide variety of facilities serving entertainment, retail, food & beverage and fitness.

Sino-Singapore Eco-city is a strategic cooperation project between China and Singapore to improve the living environment and build an eco-culture. The 30-sq km Tianjin Eco-City is envisioned to create a harmonious and sustainable community that meets the needs of an urbanising China and will be a modern township where 350,000 residents can live, work and play.
