Taxis to be tagged

All authorized taxis in the city will be identified by an electronic tag by the end of the year to prevent drivers without taxi licenses from trying to scam riders, said police.
The tag will keep a record of the driver's identification and vehicle details, including the license plate of the taxi and the company which owns it. The measure is currently being tested as a pilot on selected cabs from Qiangsheng Taxi company.
