Hou Dechang holds a calligraphy and painting exhibition

Sponsored by the Central Research Institute of Culture and History, the China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association, an exhibition entitled Being skilled in ancient and modern literature is currently on display at the National Art Museum of China to showcase a total of calligraphic works and paintings by Hou Dechang. A total of 17 Chinese characters he wrote in Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall were highly praised by the Ministry of Culture, namely, Eternal Glory to the Great Leader and Teacher Chairman Mao Zedong.

Hou Dechang, now 76 years old, is member of China Democratic League. He has worked as a researcher at the Central Research Institute of Culture and History since 1998. His landscape paintings boast solid foundation in the field of art. a large-sized painting named Golden autumn in Hebei province displayed in the Eastern Hall of the Great Hall of the People reflect strong national soul and inspiring passion in the new era.

A total of 17 Chinese characters he wrote in Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall were highly praised by the Ministry of Culture, namely, Eternal Glory to the Great Leader and Teacher Chairman Mao Zedong.

The exhibition is on view at Hall 2 and 3 until Nov.10.
