An exhibition is on display to show the research achievements on the rural cultural industry in Shandong province

Sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, an exhibition is currently on display to showcase the research achievements of the cultural industry in the rural area of Shandong province. In the forms of the documents, the objects and the academic seminars, the exhibition is hoped to reflect the achievements in the fields of industrial development, theoretical research and design and creation in three cities including Weifang, Linyi and Heze.

Initiated in 2006 by Chairman of Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles Shandong Pan Lusheng, the research covers a wide range of as many as 37 kinds of crafts in the rural area in 58 counties and cities and attempts to explain the development question of the crafts industry and propose systematic strategies and suggestions about the industry.

This exhibition combines traditional crafts with modern originality, focuses on the protection and industrial development of the intangible heritage and boasts profound traditional cultural connotation and bright original features. The exhibition is hoped to make an in-depth discussion about the issue of the development of the rural industry and play an active and far-reaching role in promoting the prosperity of the economy and the culture.

The exhibition opens at Hall 1, 3, 7 and 9 until Jan.18, 2011.
