Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance, an exhibition is currently on view at Hall 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 until Dec. 28 to showcase remarkable achievements of National Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project during Eleventh Five Year Plan.
Initiated by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance in April, 2002, National Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project has established a network of digital cultural services featuring abundant resources, advanced technology, convenient services and covering urban and rural areas in a fast way.
Thus, rich cultural information and resources are gradually reaching to everyday life of the public. During the Eleventh Five Year Plan, great efforts have been made to achieve the goal of building branches in every village and the total amount of the digital resources has reached 105.28TB. A total of more than 890 million people have enjoyed the service.
The exhibition comprise a total of six sections, namely, concern?strategy , resource?building , network?technology , cooperation?management and service?well-being and development ?prospect . Through the demonstration of pictures, diagrams, objects and multi-media, the show is hoped to provide a systematic overview of remarkable achievements of National Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project during the Eleventh Five Year Plan.
The achievements include closing the digital gap between urban and rural areas, serving the construction of new rural areas. The visitors are able to experience the service model and know more about the three-dimensional digital resources in a close distance.
