Exclusive report of the news station in Nanjing The other day, the Academic Seminar to Mark the Centenary of the 1911 Revolution co-sponsored by Shaw College of Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chinese Association of International Friendship Cities and Hong Kong Museum of History was held in Hong Kong. Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was invited to attend the seminar and won "the 1911 Revolution Centenary Contribution Award".

Mr. Sun Bida, great grandnephew of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Ms. Li Xiaolin, daughter of Mr. Li Xiannian (former Chairman of the People's Republic of China), Dr. You Dihuan, great grandson of Mr. Youlie, one of the Four Rebels, and more than 60 experts studying Dr. Sun Yat-sen from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and abroad were invited to attend the seminar.

Two great masters studying history, namely, Professor Zhang Kaiyuan, former president of Huazhong Normal University, and L Fangshang, professor of Department of History of Tunghai University in Taiwan gave lectures respectively entitled One Hundred Years of Excellence and Success Originated in the Past One Thousand Years: Reflections on the Centenary of the 1911 Revolution and A Great Man Bringing about Lasting Change: Personality and Manners of Dr.

Sun Yat-sen at the seminar. At the seminar, experts studying Dr. Sun Yat-sen from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and abroad had a heated discussion and a lively exchange of ideas regarding the lectures.

In consideration of the contributions made by Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum in studying the thoughts of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and carrying forward the spirit of the 1911 Revolution, it was conferred with "the 1911 Revolution Centenary Contribution Award" by Chinese Association of International Friendship Cities.
