In the afternoon of January 27, a Japanese delegation of 60 people from Fukuoka Prefecture celebrating the 15th anniversary of Jiangsu-Fukuoka Friendship Cherry Park visited Sino-Japanese Friendship Cherry Park in the company of Bo Suning, deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, and Yu Jinbao, inspector of the Administration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen s Mausoleum.
It is learnt that Sino-Japanese Friendship Cherry Park located in the scenic area of Ming Tomb Mausoleum was built with the donation from people from all walks of life in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1996. It covers an area of 60 mu (1 mu=1/15 hectare) with a total of more than 3,000 cherry trees. Every year when the cherry trees were in full blossom, Fukuoka Prefecture would arrange public representatives to visit the Park, admire pretty flowers and heartily recall old friendship. This year was the 15th anniversary of the building of the Cherry Park. senator and new official of Classic Writing of Sino-Japanese Association of Friendly Senators, specially led the delegation to visit the park and carry out commemorative activities.
