13 Academians Provide Intellectual Support to the Development of Guangxi s Agriculture

On the afternoon of November 10, an appointment ceremony took place in Nanning by CPC Guangxi Committee and Guangxi Government, on which the appointed academicians were awarded the certificates. Provinc13 Academicians Provide Intellectual Support to the Development of Guangxi s Agriculturial leaders Guo Shengkun, Ma Biao, Chen Jiwa and Yu Yuanhui were present at the ceremony.


There are 13 academicians appointed as consultants on agriculture of Guangxi. Ma Biao, Chairman of Guangxi Government, awarded certificates to 10 of the academicians presented at the ceremony, namely, Yuan Longping, Shi Yuanchun, Fu Tingdong, Xiang Zhonghuai, Jin Jianming, Zhang Qisheng, Dai Jingrui, Chen Zongmao, Xia Xianzhu, and Xie Hua an.


On behalf of the appointed consultants, Yuan Longping, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering spoke at the ceremony. Yuan said that Guangxi had great expectations on the experts and invited them to be consultants. This showed that Guangxi cherished technology and talents, and had done all it could to implement the strategy of developing the country through science and technology. He also said that Guangxi had a clear clue and appropriate measures to develop agriculture and had achieved greatly. The appointed consultants would help to plan and design the agricultural development in Guangxi based on their own specialties. They would try to turn their knowledge and experience into methods and suggestions to tackle difficulties in agricultural development, and offer their intellectual support to Guangxi.
