Nanning to become center for a digitalized ASEAN region

It was learned from the Work Meeting on Nanning Urban and Rural Digitalization Construction held on March 5 that Nanning would start the 1^st phase construction of Regional Information Exchange Center.

In the year 2010 Nanning s digitalization construction will be carried out step by step in line with the Construction Plan of Nanning Regional Information Exchange Center . The 10 projects include the 1^st phase construction of Nanning Regional Information Exchange Center, the improvement and capacity expansion of the digital municipal administration system, the shared government information service platform, the 3^rd phase construction of digital government service, an E-commerce demo project, the CPC construction information platform, the government performance administration system, the citizen cards project, the information platform of public logistics and the data resource center. Departments concerned are working to determine the first group of projects for examination and appraisal so as to ensure the kick-off of the 1^st phase construction of Nanning Regional Information Exchange Center.

In addition Nanning endeavors to promote cooperation with Beihai, Qinzhou and Fangchenggang to build Beibu Gulf region into a digitalized zone so as to provide information service for Guangxi, Southwest China as well the ASEAN countries. The goal of the construction of the Center is to provide information support and service to build Nanning into the best city in Guangxi and a regional international city so that Nanning will basically become a regional information center in China-ASEAN region in the year 2015.
