On Jul. 24th, Hainan English Square held an grand opening ceremony in HaikouBaishamenPark. It is sponsored by the Hainan Tourism Association (HTA) and Haikou Tourism Developing Committee(HTDC). It is also jointly undertakem by Hainan Tourism English Test Center(HNTETC) and HTIT.
Hainan English Square will be a platform for communication and learning, a paradise for entertainment and relaxation and a sweet home for all pursuing hearts. From then on, the citizens in Haikou will be blessed with a elegent site-Yuanyuan Tang (Fortune Hall). Our slogan is "we are in Hainan, we are of Hainan, we are for Hainan"
It is widely accepted that Hainan has been granted the InternationalTourismIsland since 2010. On the threshold of the construction of the InternationalTourismIsland, every citizen in this beautiful island should take its own responsibility to contribute this great project.
As one of the organizers of Hainan English Square, my feeling is mixed. From the conceiving to the decoration on Jul. 24th, each member in my team spares no efforts to prepare the ceremony. Because of them, the opening ceremony was highly spoken of by the authorities and the audience.
Another decisive factor of the establishment of Hainan English Square lies in the outstanding leader in HNTETC, David Fang. Without his support and direction, the square would not provoke such a strong reaction in the public.
Although the ceremony is never without deficiency, we have stepped towards the bright future. Since it is the first time to cooperate with the team member, it is sure to have some confusion during the arrangement. However, the girls are still busy with fixing up the hall under the scorching sun. All these hardship has been proved to be valuable when we noticed the participants were unwilling to leave.
The next gathering is approaching. We will put into another round of preparation. With the faith and attempt of our team, we will gain a beautiful future.
