On the afternoon of June 13th, the First Hainan Ding'an Dragon Boat Food Festival took place in Ding'an, according to the Haikou Evening News.
During the festival, a variety of events were staged by Ding'an County. The county organized activities included Hainan Opera week, Film week and the Food Festival Winning Photographs Expo. At the same time, a photo exhibition of Ding'an folk culture and the Ding'an County construction plan were held. There were outdoor activities which involved the public including a longevity pugilism performance, unique agricultural products exhibition, day tour among eight Ding'an attractions, the tasting of glutinous rice dumpling and a dragon boat race on Nanli Lake.
