Third haikou-asean dialogue held in haikou

Third Haikou-ASEAN Dialogue was held in Haikou on Dec 1st. Vice Mayor Ms. Han Mei met the Consuls-General from Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippine Consulate-General in Guangzhou at the Hainan Meritus Mandarin Hotel. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on Haikou-ASEAN cooperation and indicated an enlargement of the cooperation in areas of tourism, low-carbon economy, technology, foreign trade and other fields.

The consuls-general also paid a visit to the 8th China (Haikou) International Tourism Merchandise Fair (ITMF), which opened on the same day. They then attended a Haikou Tourism Promotion Meeting hosted by the Haikou Foreign Affairs Office and the Haikou Tourism and Development Commission. Mr. Han Bin, Director of Haikou Foreign Affairs Office reviewed the past two Haikou-ASEAN Dialogues held in Haikou and introduced the Haikou international exchange and promotion center. The Haikou Tourism and Development Commission along with ten entrepreneurs from Haikou tourism companies also discussed potential exchanges and cooperation in the area of tourism.
