When winter comes to Jiuzhaigou, snow will add more beauty to this colorful place. In order to promote travel to Jiuzhaigou in winter, the 6th Jiuzhaigou International Icefall Travel Festival will be held in January, 2011 in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The topic of the festival is Jiuzhaigou in Winter, Snow Covered Paradise. Activities that will be held during the festival include an opening ceremony, the Colorful Aba 2011 International Travel Promotion Conference, the Jiuzhaigou International Photography Week, the Jiuzhaigou Music Concert, the Jiuzhaigou Self-Drive-Tour, and the Tibetan Spring Festival.
Tourists can come to Jiuzhaigou and enjoy its beautiful icefalls and colorful snow covered mountains. People can also experience local Tibetan and Qiang minority customs such as Lion Dancing, Horse Racing, and Zhuanshan(walking around a mountain to show respect to the gods).
