Although it was chilly and drizzling on Jan. 2nd, 2011, there were still lots of tourists waiting in front of the former residence of Mr. Deng Xiaoping. Over 100 thousands tourists came to Guangyuan, Sichuan, the hometown of Mr. Deng Xiaoping in the first 2 days of the New Year holiday.
Our family came here on Jan. 1st. It is a beautiful place and people here are nice and friendly. We really enjoy it , said Mr. Zhang from Chongqing. According to the Guangyuan tourism administration, the countryside one-day trip in Guangyuan has attracted tourists from all over the country during the New Year Holiday.
