The 2011 Sichuan International Cultural Travel Festival will be held from April 15th to May 15th. During the Festival, Sichuan will showcase its new look to the world, after its recovery from the 2008 earthquake. New travel products will be promoted, especially those in the regions that suffered from extensive damage during the earthquake. Chengdu and Aba will be the main locations for the festival, but events will also be held in other cities throughout Sichuan. A grand opening ceremony will be held as well as a forum focused on the rebuilding projects after the earthquake.
