CHINA International Travel Mart (CITM) 2010 opened yesterday with 2,243 boothes, representing 95 countries, regions and international organisations, with 62 per cent domestic exhibitors.
The number of exhibition booths at CITM this year spanning an area of 57,500 square meters. This is an increase of 95 booths compared to last year`s instalment in Kunming.
Among all the exhibitors, 38 per cent are international exhibitors, with 69.3 per cent coming from Asia, 16.6 per cent from the Americas, and the rest from Africa and Oceania.
Twenty-seven per cent of exhibitors that are travel agencies. Hotels or hotel management groups make up 16.4 per cent, government tourism organisations 35.9 per cent, and the rest are tourism attractions, airlines, cruises, computer reservation systems and others, as well as other tourism enterprises.
