Pavilion to extend opening hours

THE China Pavilion, which reopens for six months on Wednesday, will stay open past it`s scheduled closing time of 5pm should the number of people waiting to gain entry require it, the World Expo organizer announced yesterday.
The pavilion will open from 9am to 5pm every day and the price for entry will be 20 yuan(US$3).
The organizer yesterday moved ticket selling stations to the Flag Forest Square near the old No. 6 Entrance on Shangnan Road. People need a ticket to enter the Expo site and must go through security checks before entering the pavilion.
Green channels for the pavilion were also announced yesterday. The channels will be open to the disabled, babies in prams and senior citizens over 75 years old - proof of age for elderly visitors and a certificate proving a person`s disability are required to use the green channels. Wheelchairs and prams can be rented in the waiting area of the pavilion. Visitors can also get a free map of the pavilion and stamps from the souvenir store inside.
The pavilion is expecting to receive 4,000 people an hour - the peak hours will probably be between 10am and 2pm every day.
