THE technologies used in the multimedia show of the painting "Along the River During Qingming Festival" in the China Pavilion are expected to be revealed by its designers at the 5th Shanghai Design Biennial between September 16 and 18 at Shanghai Exhibition Center, the organizer said yesterday.
This year`s biennial will set up a small section to talk in depth about major innovative technologies and designs featured in 16 Expo pavilions. The technologies include those used to create the robots in the Japan Pavilion and the 3D screen at the Saudi Arabia Pavilion.
Some 100 institutions and enterprises, both domestic and international, in the field of design and innovative production will participate in the exhibition. An international forum will also be held for officials and industry insiders to discuss the latest trends, said officials from Shanghai Center for Scientific and Technological Exchange with Foreign Countries under the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission.
