PUDONG Century Park, the host of the annual Shanghai International Music Fireworks Festival, said companies from China, France, Japan, the United States and Canada will bring special effects to this year`s fireworks displays.
Accompanied by tunes from Rock `n Roll to Chinese folk music, the fireworks shows on September 30, October 3 and October 6 will reflect in the national characteristics of the five countries.
Two Chinese companies that designed fireworks display for the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Expo 2010 will present their works at the park. Other foreign companies were winners of various international fireworks competitions, a park official said.
Each show will last for an hour. Standing tickets cost 70 yuan (US$10) each; seating tickets cost 260 yuan and 800 yuan each. The shows won`t be affected by bad weather, the park official added.
The festival organizers are recruiting 20 judges to select their favorite shows.
