AIR travelers can now enjoy convenient snacks and drinks at the new terminal, T2, at Hongqiao International Airport with more shops and restaurants opening.
Commercial outlets at T2 are now spread over 12,000 square meters, which is almost double that at the airport`s old terminal. The new outlets feature upscale brand-name shops and restaurants, offering food and goods at the same price as their downtown locations, said officials with the Airport Authority, the operator.
According to the Airport Service Quality survey conducted by the Airport Council International in the second quarter, Hongqiao ranked 19th for airport restaurant service and price among the world`s 146 surveyed airports. In 2009, the airport was listed beyond 100.
T2 is expected to handle 30 million passengers a year.
