THE Basque County of Spain opened its week of fine cuisine, folk performances and fashion yesterday at the Spain Pavilion.
One of the week`s highlights is the folklore dance group Oinkari de Boise, with all dancers coming from a Basque community in Idaho, US. They will be accompanied by the unique beats of a Ttukunak, a traditional percussion instrument. They will collaborate with Chinese drummers from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. They will perform twice daily from 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5:30pm.
