Bund Heritage Area Business District to Become the New Modern Landmark

WITH the unveiling of the newly refurbished Peace Hotel, other historical buildings along the Bund heritage area will also have the mysterious veils lifted in stages from mid to late September onwards. It is understood that Jardine Matheson Building at Bund 27 will officially open for business in late September, and the first Chinese restaurant inside the "RockBund" area will also open to the public in October.
At present, in the Bund heritage area`s business district, in addition to a number of top-tier brands such as CHANEL, GIORGIO ARMANI, PRADA, etc., housed inside the Peninsula Hotel, quite a number of high-end luxury brands have also entered into Yifeng Building, the RockBund and Bund 27.
With the proliferation of the global luxury brands and the increase of commercial activities, the comprehensive business district will gradually evolve into an integrated luxury retail agglomeration, resembling that of West Nanjing Road, Middle Huaihai Road and attracting ever more high-end consumers. The integration of an art gallery, restaurants, high-end retail, luxury hotel and apartments with office buildings will ensure this business district will become another new modern landmark in Shanghai.
