THE city`s first outdoor classical music festival will take place later this summer.
Shanghai Symphony Orchestra will host "Music in the Summer Air" from August 12 to 22.
Yu Long, musical director of SSO, and Charles Dutoit, principal conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, will guide their two ensembles as well as the Shanghai Quartet and the China Trio.
More than 20 world class musicians will perform at the festival, including Sumi Jo, Shen Yang, Wei Song, Liao Changyong, Yang Jie, Li Yundi and Kirill Gerstein.
Tickets will range from 30 yuan (US$4.42) to 300 yuan.
