THE highest level of the world road race cycling event - the International Cycling Union Women`s Road World Cup was help on May 9 in Chongming Island. The cyclists for the first time rode on the magnificent Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge. The entire race covered 138.6 km in distance and was attended by 17 teams. UCI President Patrick McQuaid highly commended the game, saying that Congming is fully capable of hosting the UCI World Cup in two years` time.
